Le joueur d'échec by Stefan Zweig (published in 1943)

I just Imagefinished the book. I decided to read it because of the restrained number of page. In fact, I fixed a goal for me to achieve. The more I read during summer holidays, the better it is. Well, for the first time I won't go on a trip.

So, this novel, from the preface already, makes the reader feel completely in "the bath" of the mid 90's, when there was the Second World War. -- I don't know why, I am just drawn by books related with that ... It must be because of my wonderful teacher who gave us the opportunities to do so much activities like watching DVDs, reading books, letters, and the most important (but then it was thanks to a student) : meeting a survivor of the war. --

I liked the style of writing of the author, really easy, really flexible, which make us understanding right after the first reading.

This novel was full of sense, sentiments ( Ouch, I don't know how to express myself ), like tons of books, I admit it. However, it was written in the first regular person, which made us feel as if the narrator was an old friend.
